This program can no longer be downloaded. You can look for alternatives in Windows > Video software > DVD & DivX > DVD Rippers.
DVD Decrypter is a neat app that allows you to rip the contents of your favorite DVD movies right onto your hard drive for further processing and editing.
Simply load the DVD movie in the computer's DVD drive and wait for DVD Decrypter to read the contents of the disc. You can then select the whole disk - or only the sections you're interested in - and extract them directly into a selected folder on your hard drive.
Despite its simplicity, DVD Decrypter includes interesting features such as support to remove CSS copy protection and region codes during the ripping process and support for multi-angle DVD movies.
The only drawback to DVD Decrypter is that it doesn't include any documentation and the support links on the Help menu in the program don't work either. At least you can have a look at the step-by-step tutorial included on the developer's website.
DVD Decrypter is a compact yet powerful DVD ripping tool with which you can copy the contents of a DVD movie right onto your hard drive.
DVD Decrypter is a highly versatile VOB-ripping utility. The software takes advantage of both the DeCSS Plus and VobDec algorithms to look up and decrypt the CSS encryption.
DVD Decrypter is also multi-angle aware, and capable of removing the Macrovision scrambling key, as well as the region code during the ripping process. Combine with FlaskMpeg for optimum results.
WORKS in Windows 8 64 bit..
I've just installed DVD Decrypter 184.108.40.206 on Windows 8 64 bit and it's working FINE. Someone should update the description on the softonic listing to remove the supposed incompatibility with Windows 8. DVD Decrypter is a GREAT program that I've used countless times and it's also great that it's free. HUGE thank you to developers.
Pros: Simple interface Quick
Cons: Cannot decypt some discs.

Read the Reviews before Use.
I found this product relatively easy to use but only after Reading the reviews and looking at the screen images.

Did not work.
Tried to use this on a Disney dvd from 2009 and it could not decrypt. The user interface is not complicated and if you think it is, just go with their preset options.

I think this is an excellent program. I bought the AVS Video Converter a while back and realized I needed a decrypter since AVS did not provide one. They recommended DVD43. I have been using DVD43 with success for about a year now. Recently I bought an HTPC with a quad-core processor and a 64-bit system. Unfortunately, DVD43 did not work with Windows 7 64-bit, so I had to try and find another decrypter on the morket. Fortunately, I ran across this excellent little program. It takes between 10 and 15 minutes to decrypt a DVD, which at first seemed to be a little slow. However, when I realized that it stored all of the Video_TS files on the hard drive, I suddenly realized that this gave me the ability to batch convert all of my DVDs with my AVS Converter. I did recieve one error message converting Terminator so I took the DVD back to my 32-bit system and converted it with DVD43. Now I have the option of having two different converters. If one deos not work I have the other one to fall back on. I definitely recommend DVD Decrpyter and DVD43, but remember that the DVD you are converting has to be in the computer when you are using DVD43 since it decrypts it on the fly. Good luck with your converting.

You need to read up and research your DVD knowledge before trying this baffling little program. Also, the image of a DVD and HD on the bottom is actually a button that does good stuff.
Pros: Very powerful. Rips a DVD and cracks copy protection easier than anything. Free.
Cons: Absolutely astoundingly difficult to use. Dont even try to work it out yourself.
